Partnerships

Modern Running Journal considers partnerships that fit its coverage of running places, routes, shared spaces and culture. Any collaboration must be clear to readers and separate from independent editorial decisions.

Possible collaborations

We may consider clearly defined projects such as a commissioned explanatory feature, a reader-facing resource or a relevant partner placement across the site. A proposal should explain the subject, intended audience, proposed format and any commercial connection. We do not imply endorsement simply because a partner appears alongside our work.

How material is labelled

Paid or partner-supported content is labelled clearly at the point readers encounter it. Editorial articles remain distinct from collaborative material, and a partner cannot require an independent article to reach a favourable conclusion. We may decline proposals that do not suit the publication or cannot be presented transparently.

Get in touch

Use the Contact page and choose the partnership option. Please describe the organisation or project in general terms, what you are proposing and how it would relate to the publication. We do not promise a placement, coverage or a particular outcome by inviting proposals.

Our point of view

A run is more than a line on a map.

We look at the routes, places and shared habits that give running its character, whether you are heading out alone or meeting others along the way.
